Rite Aid (RAD) is an American company operating in the retail industry. The company is the country’s leading drugstore chain. It owns and manages almost 5,000 stores across 51 states. Established in 1962, today it’s the third biggest drugstore in the US and the biggest drugstore chain across the East Coast. The company employs almost 90,000 people. In 1995, Rite Aid purchased Perry Drug Stores and 2007 marked the acquisition of the Brooks and Eckerd drugstore chains. In 2015, the company initiated a massive reward programme offering great savings to its clients. The company’s shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
